Deborah and I had a drink at a pub called the Hope and Anchor, the oldest continuously operating pub in Australia, dated 1807. The young woman who served us told us to go upstairs and check out the artefacts on display. We were amazed at what confronted our eyes.

A Trip to Tasmania
It was my 60th birthday recently, and Deborah gave me a wonderful present by taking me to Hobart for 5 nights. She chose the Hadley Orient Hotel and without a doubt it's one of Australia's finest hotels. One of the highlights was high tea, which is always served in a spacious white room filled with white cane furniture, and what an elegant space it is.
We did a number of interesting things during that week which will be highlighted in the following posts.
