Prospero Mallerini

Arts writer, Inga Walton, introduced me to an 18th-19th Century Italian trompe L'oeil artist named Prospero Mallerini. I had never heard of him, but there is one great example of his work currently on display at the National Gallery of Victoria (top image). I thought I would add a few other examples, which gives you a good idea of how good he is.
